Technical leadership

Delivery guidance

Delivery guidance helps a team turn business priorities into realistic technical work and deliver it predictably. I help shape scope, sequence work, resolve blockers and keep stakeholders informed, so problems are dealt with before they become expensive rework.

Is this right for you?

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

A good fit if

  • Priorities change faster than the team can deliver
  • Work regularly takes longer than planned for reasons nobody can pin down
  • Stakeholders do not have a clear view of progress or risk

Probably not the right fit if

  • You need ongoing ownership of all technical decisions: see Fractional technical leadership
  • The main problem is the system itself, not how work is delivered: see Architecture and system review

Common questions

Before you get in touch.

How much does delivery guidance cost?

Ongoing support is agreed as a regular commitment, such as a set number of days per month, sized around what your team needs. It can be reduced or ended as your own leadership grows.

Do you replace our project manager or scrum master?

No. The focus is technical scope, sequencing and decisions, working alongside whoever manages the project.

What are the most common delivery problems?

Work items that are too large, unclear acceptance criteria, hidden technical dependencies and decisions that wait too long. Most can be fixed by planning smaller slices and making decisions earlier.
