Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026. This explains what information Fewzen Limited collects through this website and how it is used.
Who we are
This website is operated by Fewzen Limited (Companies House number 11618198, VAT registration GB339404204), a technology consultancy providing AI advisory, software development and technical leadership services. For any question about this policy, contact matthew@fewzen.com.
What information we collect
This site is deliberately simple about data collection:
- Contact form. If you submit the Contact form, your name, email, company and message are sent to Fewzen through EmailJS so we can respond to your enquiry.
- AI Opportunity Assessment. Assessment answers and progress are saved in your browser's local storage on your device and are not sent to us unless you choose to submit your brief. If you request a conversation and submit the form, the contact details you provide, your assessment answers, generated recommendations and qualification fields are sent to Fewzen through EmailJS. Do not enter credentials, access keys, or real customer, employee, financial or health records. The website address you optionally provide is not automatically crawled or analysed by the assessment.
- Direct email. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence in our mailbox for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain business records.
- Private proposals. If we invite you to view a client proposal, we hold the client name, project details, delivery options and related videos and quotes on our server and private storage. Your access link is exchanged for a secure, essential HTTP-only cookie so you can view the proposal until the link expires, no more than seven days after issue. Videos and quotes use short-lived signed storage links. Treat invitation links as confidential and do not forward them to unauthorised recipients. Closing access removes the cookie from your browser; contact us to revoke an invitation.
- Local storage. Guide progress and an unfinished assessment are stored in your browser so they persist between visits. Assessment answers may include business information you enter. This information stays on your device until you clear it or start a new assessment; it is not sent to us unless you submit your brief.
- Standard hosting logs. Our hosting and CDN providers may record basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes, in line with their own standard practices.
EmailJS processes information submitted through the forms to deliver it to Fewzen. Its handling of transmitted information is also subject to its own privacy terms. We do not use analytics for advertising or sell personal data. Optional Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies only with your permission, as explained below.
Optional website analytics
Google Analytics 4 loads only after you explicitly allow analytics in Analytics preferences. It measures approved public page paths and limited actions such as booking-link clicks, assessment completion, successful enquiry submission and calculator interaction. A booking-link click is not a completed booking. Our explicit analytics events exclude form answers, names, email addresses, private proposal paths, query strings, URL fragments, page titles and referring page URLs. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation consent remain denied; Google signals and ad personalisation signals are disabled.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, normally _ga and _ga_… (typically up to two years, subject to browser limits and property settings), to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google also processes technical information such as browser/device information and IP addresses in transit; GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. This does not make analytics anonymous. Processing may take place outside the UK, including in the United States, subject to Google's applicable data-processing and transfer terms. See Google's privacy policy and GA4 data privacy information. Our legal basis for this optional analytics and its cookies is your consent.
Analytics is off by default. You can reject it or withdraw permission at any time using Analytics preferences. Withdrawal denies analytics storage, disables collection, removes the isolated tracker and deletes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. It cannot recall requests already sent or remove data Google already holds; browser settings can clear remaining cookies. Collection is also stopped on private or unrecognised routes. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override permission when checked at initialisation, tracking, or when returning to the tab. Your choice is saved in local storage on this device until you change it or clear browser storage; if storage is unavailable, the choice lasts only for this page session. Previous consent for another analytics provider is not reused. Necessary assessment and guide storage works independently of analytics permission.
Calendly handles appointment scheduling under its own privacy terms when you follow a booking link; we do not append analytics identifiers or assessment answers to that link. For questions about analytics data, retention or exercising your rights, contact us using the details above.
How we use information
Any information you send us is used only to respond to your enquiry, deliver a requested service, or meet our legal and accounting obligations (for example under UK company and tax law). We do not use enquiry details for marketing without your consent.
Legal basis
Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interest (responding to enquiries and operating the business) or consent (where you actively choose to send us information) as the basis for processing.
Sharing information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us run this website or deliver client work (for example hosting providers), and only to the extent needed for that purpose. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep enquiry and client correspondence for as long as needed to deliver services and meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email matthew@fewzen.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
