Integration and data-flow design
Source-of-truth decisions, field mapping, triggers and reconciliation for customer, invoice, payment or operational records. Accounting rules and approvals are agreed with the responsible team.
Business systems and AI integration services connect your CRM, accounting software and operational tools so information moves without manual re-entry. I build API and webhook integrations for UK businesses, including bounded AI steps where interpreting documents or conversations is useful. Data ownership, validation, permissions, retries and monitoring are designed into the scope so failures are visible and recoverable.
Discuss this service ↗Source-of-truth decisions, field mapping, triggers and reconciliation for customer, invoice, payment or operational records. Accounting rules and approvals are agreed with the responsible team.
The connection built against your platforms, with narrow permissions and explicit authority for any AI-assisted step. A prepared draft is kept distinct from an approved financial or customer action.
Input validation, duplicate prevention, bounded retries, actionable alerts and a route for incomplete records. Logs should explain failures without unnecessarily exposing personal or financial data.
Agreed credential storage, access, retention and any AI-provider data sharing, plus documentation for monitoring, safe replay, reconciliation and manual fallback. Ongoing support is scoped separately.
I identify systems, ownership and approval rules with your team, check API capabilities and subscription limits, and compare supported connectors before proposing custom code.
I deliver a first useful data flow and test representative records, duplicate events, unavailable services, expired credentials and partial updates. Your team checks the receiving records against agreed acceptance criteria.
I document monitoring, recovery and access, agree who owns exceptions and hand over the workflow. The first stage can be discussed directly when you already have a brief.
Published projects and guides that show this kind of work in practice.

Read the case study ↗Builds are scoped in stages. I agree a first stage with a fixed scope and price with you, then plan the next stage with you based on what the first stage has taught us. That keeps cost predictable without pretending every requirement is known on day one.
Published examples include QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50, Sage 200, SimPro, Monday.com, WhatsApp and a CRM connecting ten existing APIs. These demonstrate experience, not a ready-made connector for every configuration. I check API access, supported operations, permissions and platform limits before confirming scope.
Usually because of changes in the connected platform, unexpected data, expired credentials or missing retry logic, combined with no monitoring. Good integrations assume these will happen and make failures visible.
That is a common integration scope: agree which system owns customer details, when an invoice draft can be created and how payment status returns. Tax rules, approvals, duplicate prevention and reconciliation need to be explicit. I check your platforms and workflow before recommending a connector or custom integration.
Ordinary software moves known fields and enforces exact rules. AI may interpret variable documents or conversations, but its output needs validation and human review where mistakes matter. Permissions, calculations and financial approval remain controlled software and business decisions.
We agree the minimum data and permissions needed, credential handling, retention and who can inspect logs. If AI providers receive data, their terms and settings are reviewed against your requirements before use. This is scoped engineering work, not a blanket compliance certification.
These are published examples of experience, not off-the-shelf connectors or promises that every platform edition supports the same workflow.
